BACK TO FRONT, THE NEW ALBUM FROM THE TEMPTATIONS,
FEATURES FRESH TAKES ON CLASSIC POP AND R&B HITS,
FROM “RESPECT YOURSELF” AND “HOLD ON, I’M COMIN’”
TO “NEVER NEVER GONNA GIVE YA UP” AND “HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE”
With 2006’s Grammy-nominated Reflections, The Temptations performed the Motown classics they always loved but never had the chance to previously record. Now, with Back To Front (New Door Records/UMe), released October 23, 2007, you’ll find these Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and one of the most popular and enduring singing groups of all time performing some of the biggest Pop and R&B songs in history.
For Back To Front, their 48th album of new recordings, and second for New Door Records/UMe, The Temptations put their incomparable stamp on such classics as “Never Never Gonna Give Ya Up” (the ageless Barry White smash), Sam and Dave’s seminal “Hold On, I’m Comin’,” the Staple Singers’ self-assuring “Respect Yourself,” the Bee Gees’ monumental “How Deep Is Your Love” and the timeless standard “Let It Be Me” as well as “(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again” (popularized by L.T.D. with Jeffrey Osborne). Also featured are “Wake Up Everybody” (the crossover giant from Philly soul legends Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass), “I’m In Love,” “Minute By Minute” (the Doobie Brothers’ hit), “Don’t Ask My Neighbors” and “Love Ballad,” (made popular by jazz giant George Benson).
Included among The Temptations’ very own numerous and immortal hits are the ‘70s R&B/pop No.1 “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me),” the No.1 R&B ‘60s smashes “Get Ready” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and the No.2 ’80s R&B hit “Treat Her Like A Lady.”
The Tempts’ album successes in the new millennium have included 2000’s Grammy-winning, Top 20 R&B hit Ear-Resistable; 2001’s Top 30 R&B-charting Awesome; 2004’s Top 20 R&B-peaking Legacy and 2006’s Top 20 R&B smash Reflections, which received massive critical and fan acclaim plus a Grammy nomination. And most recently their 2006 DVD Get Ready! The Definitive Performances 1965-1972 was certified platinum. The Temptations have sold more than 35 million records in their legendary career, a feat that only a few artists have achieved.
In 2007, The Temptations, with original member the venerable Otis Williams, Ron Tyson (a member since 1983, the lineup’s second longest tenure), Bruce Williamson, Terry Weeks and Joe Herndon, continue to raise the standard by which all singing groups are measured.
The Temptations continue to tour across the country. In addition to that schedule, they will perform several songs, including many from Back To Front, on Kurt Browning’s “Gotta Skate” ice skating show airing Sunday, November 11 on NBC TV.
Les-tor Manchestor indeed enjoys the ambiance of a large casino, with slots ringing and waitresses serving up cocktails in slightly undersized uniforms. But what do you do if you can’t make it to Las Vegas this weekend and you want to fill your urge to splurge in an intense high stakes game of poker. Well you go online of course, and so you don’t have to worry about trying to find the most suitable online casino to wager your digital chips in, Online Casino Bluebook has all ready made the arrangements. Online Casino Bluebook is a great source for the online gambler that doesn’t have time to Google casino related search terms in an effort to locate their internet cash haven. On Bluebook you’re provided with a straight forward list of the top online casinos, the bonus amount that you’ll receive upon signing up and a brief review of what each online casino has to offer. Les-tor still likes to play all day and all night while racking up member rewards for free shows, watered down drinks and giant pink shrimp. A digi poker match will be just fine until the time comes to enter the live house of cards. One thing is for sure, behind my flat panel monitor no one can take a peek at my cards and I don’t have to inhale any god awful cigar smoke.
Yeah I said it! When Jacob the jeweler gets out of the clink there will be hell to pay for this new character attempting to move in on his territory. With the likes of 50 cent, Justin Timberlake and Nelly fashioning these time pieces recently at the VMA's, it won't be long for the Haimov brand is a household name. With prices ranging from $9,000 to $62,000 no normal household will be purchasing them.
Check out the site. www.haimovwatches.com It's about ugly as these terrible watches... Considering how much these watches cost, you'd figure they'd be able to invest in a much nicer people friendly site. Get it to right Igal!

Les-tor was thinking about music before 2000 arrived and came across the now incarcerated John Forte. Nine Nine (Flash the Message) got a fair amount of airplay in the states. I wonder how John's hanging in there... 14 year minimum behind metal bars.
Queens - 50 Cent, Prodigy, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap, Tony Yayo - mp3
Soooo what do you think about this one? I wonder if Freeway makes Salat before he goes in the booth...Les-tor likes the sample saying, 'Hey Big Spender'... That's about it...
He is an icon. There’s no other way to describe Russell Simmons and his 25 plus year career as an entrepreneur that has included the founding of Def Jam Records, Phat Farm clothing, the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, and numerous philanthropic organizations. Simmons released his latest book, Do You: 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success, this week, and I sat down with him to talk about the book, as well as his thoughts on the 2008 election, and why he sees rappers as being more charitable than a lot of politicians. Read more...

Les-tor's not a fan of R Kelly and now honestly has become less of a fan of Usher because of his choice to collaborate with the female child magnet, but I digress. Given the state of R&B, and mainstream music in general(basically, go get yah paper. This was smart business if anything)perhaps it's only fitting that two would converge on 'Same Girl". I'm not excited about the song or anything, but I can't say I dislike it all.
Tuesday is new music day on itunes. I can only imagine how many people reading this are going, so what, I hate itunes. Well, even if itunes is not your cup of tea, it’s really not about itunes, it’s about the music. Recently, a download of K-os’ song, ‘The Rain’ was made available for free download. K-os is one talented dude that obviously refuses to be contained in any box made by the industry or the minds of the not so open public, shown by his inherent ability to flip styles and express his thoughts as only he can. Check out ‘The Rain’, it’s a great song.
Yeah I know the Post is a rag, but this is interesting. Suge on Page Six of The Post talking about changing his life and starting new. (Read Suge Set To Bury Death Row.) I wonder what pursuits Suge will follow. Wrestling perhaps? He used to play football you know. Seriously though no telling what this kat is really capable of. From hearing him speak, it's obvious he's no idiot and I mean he did start and run Death Row, a task that could not be accomplished by just any man. I hope there's truth in his words about wanting to take his life in a positive direction. I have no reason to doubt them, though I'm sure there will be a whole lot of people that will not agree. Good luck in your endeavors Suge Knight Of Prosperity!
As if it doesn't get any dumber and pointless as,''The White Rapper Show' to begin with, there's a diss track by Dasit (Eminem sound alike)called , 'Hater' circulating. He proceeds to diss MC Serch(who at this point I figure to be too pointless to even mention beyond the fact he's being dissed on this record) Persia and Shamrock. I personally refuse to watch the show. I only listened to the track because I couldn't knowingly post it without actually listening to it first. Anyway, as far as Les-tor is concerned, they can all go to bloody hell!
I made two attempts to post a write up about these guys. Les-tor is tired. Listen up!
