Ghostface - Toney Sigel A.K.A. The Barrel Brothers (Feat. Beanie Sigel & Styles P)

Does Lupe Have To Choke A Bitch?

Allhiphop.com

“Last night I went to the T-mobile event at the Bowery Hotel. Celebrities like John Legend, DJ Clue, Just Blaze and Lupe Fiasco came through. Bowery Hotel is brand new and nice. Lupe was talking to a young lady and the girl threw her drink in his face. Lupe then proceeds to choke her out. The bouncers threw Lupe out of the party. Lupe said it was not his fault. I don’t know what he said to the girl but she obviously didn’t like it.”

Misinformation: Raekwon's Upset With RZA

Leave it to misinformation to be the one grilling Raekwon on the witness stand about turmoil within the Wu camp. I can't stand this broad. If Les-tor ever sees her in person. He might go Lupe on her... On another note the chef has the right to feel as he does but the last thing he should do is be talking bout Wu business. They need to sort their stuff out. No one needs to know this.

What's good with the friggin floss stick Rae?

BACK TO FRONT, THE NEW ALBUM FROM THE TEMPTATIONS,
FEATURES FRESH TAKES ON CLASSIC POP AND R&B HITS,
FROM “RESPECT YOURSELF” AND “HOLD ON, I’M COMIN’”
TO “NEVER NEVER GONNA GIVE YA UP” AND “HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE”

With 2006’s Grammy-nominated Reflections, The Temptations performed the Motown classics they always loved but never had the chance to previously record. Now, with Back To Front (New Door Records/UMe), released October 23, 2007, you’ll find these Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and one of the most popular and enduring singing groups of all time performing some of the biggest Pop and R&B songs in history.

For Back To Front, their 48th album of new recordings, and second for New Door Records/UMe, The Temptations put their incomparable stamp on such classics as “Never Never Gonna Give Ya Up” (the ageless Barry White smash), Sam and Dave’s seminal “Hold On, I’m Comin’,” the Staple Singers’ self-assuring “Respect Yourself,” the Bee Gees’ monumental “How Deep Is Your Love” and the timeless standard “Let It Be Me” as well as “(Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again” (popularized by L.T.D. with Jeffrey Osborne). Also featured are “Wake Up Everybody” (the crossover giant from Philly soul legends Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass), “I’m In Love,” “Minute By Minute” (the Doobie Brothers’ hit), “Don’t Ask My Neighbors” and “Love Ballad,” (made popular by jazz giant George Benson).

Included among The Temptations’ very own numerous and immortal hits are the ‘70s R&B/pop No.1 “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me),” the No.1 R&B ‘60s smashes “Get Ready” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” and the No.2 ’80s R&B hit “Treat Her Like A Lady.”

The Tempts’ album successes in the new millennium have included 2000’s Grammy-winning, Top 20 R&B hit Ear-Resistable; 2001’s Top 30 R&B-charting Awesome; 2004’s Top 20 R&B-peaking Legacy and 2006’s Top 20 R&B smash Reflections, which received massive critical and fan acclaim plus a Grammy nomination. And most recently their 2006 DVD Get Ready! The Definitive Performances 1965-1972 was certified platinum. The Temptations have sold more than 35 million records in their legendary career, a feat that only a few artists have achieved.

In 2007, The Temptations, with original member the venerable Otis Williams, Ron Tyson (a member since 1983, the lineup’s second longest tenure), Bruce Williamson, Terry Weeks and Joe Herndon, continue to raise the standard by which all singing groups are measured.

The Temptations continue to tour across the country. In addition to that schedule, they will perform several songs, including many from Back To Front, on Kurt Browning’s “Gotta Skate” ice skating show airing Sunday, November 11 on NBC TV.

'The Harlem Experiment' On Ropeadope

All-Star Album On Sale Now at http://store.ropeadope.com

The third installment in Philly indie label Ropeadope's "city series" hits streets today. Featuring guests like Taj Mahal, James Hunter, Olu Dara, Queen Esther, Don Byron and the Harlem House Band (whose members have played with David Bowie, Tito Puente and Run D.M.C), 'The Harlem Experiment' serves up the hip-hop, jazz and soul that Harlem is recognized for around the world.

With 15 hand-picked tracks that dig deep into the soul of New York, this disc is for people who love music and love feelin' good - just like James Brown at the Apollo, Duke Ellington at the Cotton Club or Bird and Diz at a late-night jam session at Minton's Playhouse. According to the album's Grammy-winning producer Aaron Levinson, "Harlem was always THE intersection of American sound."

The critics have started talking about 'The Harlem Experiment' too:

"At a time when the rest of the world thinks that the CD is dead, Ropeadope brings it back to life by reminding us all what it's about in the first place - GOOD MUSIC - and The Harlem Experiment is up there with the very best." - Roy Felgoise, MOJO

"Advertisement" - Online Casino Bluebook

Les-tor Manchestor indeed enjoys the ambiance of a large casino, with slots ringing and waitresses serving up cocktails in slightly undersized uniforms. But what do you do if you can’t make it to Las Vegas this weekend and you want to fill your urge to splurge in an intense high stakes game of poker. Well you go online of course, and so you don’t have to worry about trying to find the most suitable online casino to wager your digital chips in, Online Casino Bluebook has all ready made the arrangements. Online Casino Bluebook is a great source for the online gambler that doesn’t have time to Google casino related search terms in an effort to locate their internet cash haven. On Bluebook you’re provided with a straight forward list of the top online casinos, the bonus amount that you’ll receive upon signing up and a brief review of what each online casino has to offer. Les-tor still likes to play all day and all night while racking up member rewards for free shows, watered down drinks and giant pink shrimp. A digi poker match will be just fine until the time comes to enter the live house of cards. One thing is for sure, behind my flat panel monitor no one can take a peek at my cards and I don’t have to inhale any god awful cigar smoke.

Haimov watches are ugly...

Yeah I said it! When Jacob the jeweler gets out of the clink there will be hell to pay for this new character attempting to move in on his territory. With the likes of 50 cent, Justin Timberlake and Nelly fashioning these time pieces recently at the VMA's, it won't be long for the Haimov brand is a household name. With prices ranging from $9,000 to $62,000 no normal household will be purchasing them.

Check out the site. www.haimovwatches.com It's about ugly as these terrible watches... Considering how much these watches cost, you'd figure they'd be able to invest in a much nicer people friendly site. Get it to right Igal!

p.s. Kanye is a b*^%$. Children and immature women throw tantrums.

Suicide, it's a suicide!

Sean Kingston for the role of Biggie Smalls in a bio pic entitled 'Notorius' is suicidal if you ask Les here. You didn't ask? So what. As if tossing this dead man's lyrics around with various artists over the years wasn't enough, now Christopher Wallace will have his likeness betrayed, I mean portrayed by soon to be R&B one hit wonder. Some nation wide casting call. Bleh... Would anyone like to waiger what amount of terrible this film will be? Ladies and gents, please place your bids in the comments field below...

Queens - 50 Cent, Prodigy, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap, Tony Yayo

Queens - 50 Cent, Prodigy, LL Cool J, Kool G Rap, Tony Yayo - mp3
I guess the move these days is a record label sending out tracks with their artist dissing them. I wonder if anyone will ever out mister Smith and his rather interesting relationships outside his marriage, I guess that's his business. But 50 is doing business with him. So hey birds of a feather. Prodigy, well didn't expect nothing special from him. G Rap I'd rather not hear him on anything like this again. And Yayo. Well he's still just as wack as he has been since he came home. What happened man? You use'tah could rhyme?

Next time let Brand Nubian, Tribe & Pharoahe rep Queens. Man you could get shame. Rather hear him right about now. Mediocrocy is a disease.

Hey Big Spendah!

Soooo what do you think about this one? I wonder if Freeway makes Salat before he goes in the booth...Les-tor likes the sample saying, 'Hey Big Spender'... That's about it...

Thursday

Lil' Wayne Rap City Freestyle (4/10/2007)

My biggest issue with Wayne these days has nothing to do with anything in the past that he's said that was just plain dumb. It's the thought about his past and whether or not he's had someone really write for him. This right here seems just too genuine to be written by anyone but him, but even still I'll always wonder. And it's the reason that I really can't listen to him. But regardless I gottah say that this dudes confidence is just sheerly amazing. For that he gets major props... Even if he has a ghost writer.

Russell Simmons On "Doing You"

He is an icon. There’s no other way to describe Russell Simmons and his 25 plus year career as an entrepreneur that has included the founding of Def Jam Records, Phat Farm clothing, the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, and numerous philanthropic organizations. Simmons released his latest book, Do You: 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success, this week, and I sat down with him to talk about the book, as well as his thoughts on the 2008 election, and why he sees rappers as being more charitable than a lot of politicians. Sisqo Disses R.Kelly & Usher In One Shot...

Sisqo you’re dead to me for desecrating Eleanor Rigby to begin with. I’m quite sure she wouldn’t even have known what a thong was. Quasi-homo R&B beef ain’t gangster, ain’t gully, sure ain’t sexy and is just purely irrelevant as are you after releasing OneFinga. El Bitch-co you take a major L for this tirade, considering while you were penning this attack, R Kelly was creating a tribute song for those that were caught up in the Virgina Tech tragedy. So, your outburst will be recognized only for its poor taste. Ha ha ha. Taste bad, taste bad. What you need to do is spark up a Dru Hill reunion tour and album and let yah hair grow back out from under that platinum mess atop your crown. Beesh! No need to go iinto detail why you will never reach the level of celebrity that both Kelly and Usher have… Find Jesus. Reflect on life, then drop a gospel album…

The R. Kelly, Usher Connection.

Les-tor's not a fan of R Kelly and now honestly has become less of a fan of Usher because of his choice to collaborate with the female child magnet, but I digress. Given the state of R&B, and mainstream music in general(basically, go get yah paper. This was smart business if anything)perhaps it's only fitting that two would converge on 'Same Girl". I'm not excited about the song or anything, but I can't say I dislike it all.

Saturday

What ain’t the most ‘beautifuless’ thing in this world.

Veteran rap artists dropping come back songs that aren’t par with anything are simply being released too frequently these days. It’s disappointing. You see a name you’ve always loved and looked forward to hearing from and they drop a wack bomb. One wonders whether or not it’s just time for an artist to hang it up. If ‘Weeble Wobble’ is the best mister Murray has to offer then I don’t want anymore of what he’s serving. ‘Nobody Do It Better’, is not quite as terrible but still, it just isn’t making me anticipate anymore from the Def Squad alumni.

Rain - K-OS

Tuesday is new music day on itunes. I can only imagine how many people reading this are going, so what, I hate itunes. Well, even if itunes is not your cup of tea, it’s really not about itunes, it’s about the music. Recently, a download of K-os’ song, ‘The Rain’ was made available for free download. K-os is one talented dude that obviously refuses to be contained in any box made by the industry or the minds of the not so open public, shown by his inherent ability to flip styles and express his thoughts as only he can. Check out ‘The Rain’, it’s a great song.

Is U Bein Served? RIP John Inman

If you're familiar with British comedy on television, then chances are you know of the classic show, 'Are You Being Served?'. John Inman, better known as,'Mr. Humphries' from the series passed away at the age of 71. He was quite the witty fellow and was loved by millions of fans as well as his acting peers. In honor of this great comedic being I'd like to share with you an interesting hiphop creation.

Death Row Walking?

Yeah I know the Post is a rag, but this is interesting. Suge on Page Six of The Post talking about changing his life and starting new. (Read Suge Set To Bury Death Row.) I wonder what pursuits Suge will follow. Wrestling perhaps? He used to play football you know. Seriously though no telling what this kat is really capable of. From hearing him speak, it's obvious he's no idiot and I mean he did start and run Death Row, a task that could not be accomplished by just any man. I hope there's truth in his words about wanting to take his life in a positive direction. I have no reason to doubt them, though I'm sure there will be a whole lot of people that will not agree. Good luck in your endeavors Suge Knight Of Prosperity!

Wednesday

White Rapper Show Beef?

As if it doesn't get any dumber and pointless as,''The White Rapper Show' to begin with, there's a diss track by Dasit (Eminem sound alike)called , 'Hater' circulating. He proceeds to diss MC Serch(who at this point I figure to be too pointless to even mention beyond the fact he's being dissed on this record) Persia and Shamrock. I personally refuse to watch the show. I only listened to the track because I couldn't knowingly post it without actually listening to it first. Anyway, as far as Les-tor is concerned, they can all go to bloody hell!

Thursday

New Michael Jackson Song Surfaces?

It's like this, there's a dude named Tempamental with a song with Michael Jackson and Pras...

Yeah well Temp's verse is far from spectacular but it's listen able. Of course he name drops Micheal Jackson songs and bleh... Moving right along. MJ sounds like MJ. But Pras. Damn Pras. I always stood up for you when the Fugees conversations came up... I defended you. Then years later you did that Ghetto Superstar. That was close to unforgiveable. But Now Les-tor has to admit. you're wack Pras. And why are you shouting out Refugees! Please stop... please!

I'm not really happy about this back and fourth because it's only gonna end up in violence. But I can not deny that this response is pretty good.

Legendary reggae artist Bigga Haitian preps new album

Legendary Reggae Artist BIGGA HAITIAN preps new album and drops the long awaited single - a Rastaman anthem titled "Gi Me Da Weed". Click Here to Download The Single

"Gi Me Da Weed" is the first single from Bigga's highly anticipated upcoming release titled "Sak Pase" on Walkup Records, due out in the coming months. The long awaited album – his first since Binghi Mon – promises to build on the reputation Bigga has made for himself and has a few surprises in store as well, featuring legendary drummer and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey (Parliament/Funkadelic) and members of the Ruff Stuff band whose recording credits include Robert Palmer, Sly & Robbie, Shinehead and Burning Spear, and who have backed such reggae greats as the late Dennis Brown, Sean Paul, Freddie McGregor, Sizzla, and Morgan Heritage. "Gi Me Da Weed" is already being played on reggae stations nationwide and gaining a strong momentum.

Bigga is known as the first Haitian singer to break into the Jamaican reggae scene, and has been credited as an influence on many of today's hottest reggae singers, including fellow Haitian artist Wyclef Jean. He recorded two singles in Jamaica for Freddie McGregor which were released in the U.S. on RAS Records. He has also recorded tracks with artists such as Yvad, Ken Boothe, and Denroy Morgan of Morgan Heritage.

Bigga Haitian's Walkup Records debut, "Gi Me Da Weed" is out now at iTunes, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody, and other online music stores.
